We are pleased to announce our team are on site for the first of many projects we are delivering in partnership with DFDS as part of the Zen Freight 2.0 programme.
Our Role in the ZEHID Programme
We are excited to announce that we are now on site for the first of many projects with DFDS as part of the ZenFreight 2.0 programme. This partnership is a big step towards a more sustainable future for freight transport.
These projects are part of the Zero Emission Heavy Goods Vehicle Infrastructure Development (ZEHID) programme, which aims to decarbonise heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in the UK. The ZEHID programme will have a huge impact on sustainable transport by providing incentives and support to adopt zero-emission technologies. This initiative will change how we approach freight transport, making it more eco-friendly and efficient.
Building a Shared Charging Infrastructure
A key goal of the ZEHID programme is to create a reliable, easily accessible shared charging infrastructure. This is essential for the transition to zero-emission HGVs, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the transport industry. By making charging stations more accessible, we can ensure that the shift to sustainable freight transport is practical and efficient.
Our Contributions
At Envevo, we are proud to play a key role in the ZEHID programme. We provide comprehensive services alongside key industry players, including:
New Grid Connections: Integrating charging stations into the existing power grid.
Full Turnkey Installations: Offering complete solutions from planning to implementation.
Ongoing Maintenance: Ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of the charging infrastructure.
Looking Ahead
As we continue these projects, we are excited about the future of sustainable freight transport. The ZEHID programme is a crucial step towards a net-zero future, and we are honoured to be part of this journey. By working with industry leaders, using our shared expertise and experience, and we aim to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the transport industry.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to pave the way towards a sustainable future for freight transport.
