Brief
Envevo undertook its first full turnkey project for MFG, delivering an end-to-end EV charging site at the MFG Coatbridge Service Station. The scope of work included various construction and infrastructure tasks to ensure seamless operation upon handover.
Methodology
Envevo’s approach was meticulous and well-coordinated, ensuring that every aspect of the project was executed with precision. The key tasks included:
Blast Wall and Canopy Foundation Construction: Envevo constructed robust blast walls and canopy foundations to ensure safety and structural integrity. This involved careful planning and execution to meet safety standards and provide a durable foundation for the site.
1.5MVA Sub-Station Construction and Associated ICP Works: Envevo installed a 1.5MVA sub-station and handled all associated electric design and infrastructure civil works to ensure reliable power supply. This involved the design and construction of a new HV and LV network, installation of switchgear, and LV termination within the LV pillar and CT metering cabinet.
Installation of 5 x 150kW Chargers: The project included the installation of five 150kW chargers to meet growing demand for public charging needs. These chargers were strategically placed to provide easy access for users and ensure efficient charging capabilities.
11kV Connection: Envevo secured an 11kV connection from the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) which was then adopted by an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), ESP Utilities Group Ltd, who played a crucial role in the project by adopting the new electrical connection and ensuring its integration into the existing network.
13-Week Timescale: The entire project was completed within a 13-week timescale, ensuring that the site was open and operational upon handover. This required careful project management and coordination to meet the tight deadline.
